Coming from the country, Brod, Damask, and special guest Hannah Dallas know just what it's like to go back to your hillbilly home town. From the thinly veiled homophobia and the constant stench of slaughtered pigs, to a the on-the-loose serial killer and creepy gothic mansion that your expertly passive-aggressive witch of a mother lives in, SHARP OBJECTS paints a picture that is all too familiar.
n the latest season of BOJACK HORSEMAN, Princess Carolyn is trying to balance her relationship and career, Diane is finding her feet working for a feminist blog, Mr Peanutbutter is vying for Governor of California, Todd is Todd and BoJack is…wait, where is BoJack? Fear not, as Damask and Brod are on the case! Will this be the triumphant return to form, or should Mr Horseman have stayed in hiding?
Upon Brod's return from an overseas holiday, he and Damask jump back into the hilarious, always funny, animated comedy BOJACK HORSEMAN for it's third season. This jovial show of cutely drawn animal people is non-stop laughs where nothing serious, sad or bad ever happens (much like the paradisiacal Labrador Peninsula)! Our souls are definitely not aching while we cry, rocking back and forth in the foetal position. Yaaaaaaay!
Lock up your daughters, the girls from Litchfield Penitentiary are back...only something is different this time around. After steamrolling through the first 5 seasons last year, are Brod and Damask happy to be back behind bars, or has watching this show started to feel like a life sentence?
This week Brod and Damask give you a double dose of Hunting Seasons goodness, reviewing not just one, but two seasons of Netflix's animated dark-comedy BoJack Horse, A.K.A. the most elaborate 'why the long face?' joke ever. Is this tale of an ex-sitcom star anthropomorphic horse as charming as it sounds, or has it left our hosts as miserable as the show's namesake? Listen and learn!
With our current political landscape as ugly and volatile as it is, Hunting Seasons welcomes this chance to return to the peaceful nation of Gilead, where nothing bad ever happens and everyone is always happy. Is THE HANDMAID'S TALE Season Two just as joyful as the first, who has this new season found a higher level of splendour hereto unseen by mortals? Joining Damask and Brod on this vacation to paradise is friend of the show Loren De Jong.
When the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling leapt onto the scene in 2017 Damask and Brod were down for the count! If that metaphor sounds like a negative, our apologies. What we meant to say is they were flawed, sucker-punched and knocked-out by the quality of this show! Still confusing? Ok. The point is, the first season of GLOW was good and now it's back for Round 2! By which we mean Season 2. Oh, you got that one? Cool.
Is this now? Is this then? Are you me? Are you you? Where is there? Is there when? WHAT IS HAPPENING??? In season 2 of HBO's WESTWORLD we try to decipher what on Earth is going on. Will season 2 be as mind-blowing as season 1? Or will it make us want to blow our brains out? Listen on and have all your questions answered...or not.
Brod and Damask have been on the hunt for a show that explores the mind of a psychopathic serial killer in new and interesting ways, and boy did they hit the mark. Funny, clever, sexy, and intense, KILLING EVE Season 1 introduces us to Eve Polastri as she steadily builds an unhealthy fascination with a female assassin who may just reciprocate. Is this sexy spy drama a clean kill or a messy struggle?
Ever wished someone would combine the world of HBO’s GIRLS and NANCY DREW? Really? You did? Huh. Well, weirdo, today is your lucky day! In the first season of SEARCH PARTY, Dory and her friends investigate the mysterious disappearance of a ‘suggested friend’ on Facebook. Being a millennial is so much fun that even abusive exes, adultery, cults, mental illness, and murder are all just a whacky adventure!
Ever felt stuck? Sick of your job? Ready to put it all behind you and follow your dreams? Meet Barry, a wannabe actor who just just wants to escape his dead-end job! And by dead-end, I mean literally killing people for money. This week Brod and Damask step into Bill Hader's BARRY. Is this a Broadway smash or high school production you are forced to sit through out of some stupid loyalty to your best friend?
Damask is back and so are the boys and girls of ATLANTA. We rejoin the gang at the dawn of 'Robbin’ Season' with everyone right where we left them; Earn sleeping in a storage shed and 'Paperboi' Alfred smoking up on his couch. Season one was a unique, often strange but consistently hilarious feat of television, is there any way 'Robbin' Season' can match what came before?
Sound the alarm, Damask has gone missing! Thankfully Kyran Morrison of the Dialogue Options video game podcast joins Brod to discuss this weeks main topic: the Australian TV adaptation of PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK. Does the series justify it's existence in light of the much loved 1975 Peter Weir classic, or should this series disappear into the bush, never to be seen again? Listen and know!
What do you remember most about high school? Teenagers with the physique of Men's Health cover models? A persistent, sickly sweet scent on the air? The ongoing murder investigation of a possibly incestuous twin? If so, you may find this show very nostalgic! This week Joachim Coghlan joins Damask and Brod to grade RIVERDALE season one.
